Art History Brush Tool

I used the NAPP website to learn how I can use the Art History Brush tool to draw on my image. I used a pink and yellow brush to outline my flower and make it pop. I also outlined the border of the image with green to give it a more nature feel.

Waterfall

For this image, I used the website, NAPP, to retouch and revamp the image. I chose a picture of a waterfall and used the spot healing brush to get rid of unneeded objects and I used the paint brush to make my own black vignette around the picture.

Inside Out Project

For this project, I took a picture of a little girl and made it look like we were looking at the skeleton of her face. I liked this project because we were able to be creative with what we did, and I chose to keep mine simple.

Kaleidoscope 2

Original image
For my second Kaleidoscope project, I used an image of flowers that I got off of the web. I think it looks really cool because of all the colors and the way the pedals overlap.

Kaleidoscope 1

This is the picture I used before I transformed it into a Kaleidoscope.
After, I turned the image into a cool looking Kaleidoscope. I also used an original image that I took myself. I liked this project a lot because it was easy and made my picture look unique from others since it is black and white.

Photo505

This website had many cool effects that I could put on my picture. I decided to use the one where my friends and I are like a painting in a museum. I think it looks very cool and I would use this website in the future.

Citrify

I used Citrify for this project. I rotated the picture, and also put an effect called nature on it. I also turned up the brightness a lot so that more things were visible in the image. I enjoyed the other sights more than this one.

PhotoFunia

I used the website Photofunia, to edit a picture of me into a magazine. I really liked all the effects offered on this website because there was a variety and they were all fun. I really liked how this effect turned out with my picture in it.

Picmonkey Project

For this project, I used a website called Picmonkey. I edited my original picture, with effects, cropping, rotation, brightness, and more. This was my favorite website out of them all because it was easy to use and I liked the finished product.

Marla Abstract Work

In class, we watched a documentary on Marla, a young artist. We were then told to create a project that inspired her types of abstract paintings. In my painting, I used different brushes and sizes to make a variety in the lines. I also used tons of different colors so that everything didn't blend together. I basically pulled out the brush tool, and began scribbling lines across the page, creating a "Marla" inspired piece. I think my project looks very unique because of the neon colors that I brought into the painting. I enjoyed working on this project because it was quick and easy, but also very fun at the same time.

Book Worm Pun

For this project, I chose the book worm pun. In the picture, as you can see, there is a book and a worm on top. Each picture represents the concept of the pun. I used the lasso tool and eraser tool to create the worm and book images. For the background, I filled a rectangle with black because it helps the the other images to stand out more because they are the center of the project.

Life in Color-Green

I chose the color green for this project because it represents nature in our world today. I took both of these pictures outside, one of a leaf, and one of the grass. Afterwards, I placed them in places where they would look more appealing. The background was white, therefore I decided to put different shades of green tiles underneath both pictures. That tied the green theme together because it really represented the color really well.

Self Portrait!

For this project, I took one picture of myself and put each one in a different square on a 9 by 9 document. I then used each picture and put a different filter on them, which makes each one look different and really cool. I also used the warp, scale, and rotate tool to make the pictures distinctive. Afterwards, the background was very bland, therefore I created a border by filling different rectangles with different colors. I thought this really completed the whole project and brought it all together.

Two New Puns

For the second pun, I did the Deviled Egg one. I represented this by taking an egg and placing devil ears above it. I put a black background because it helps the egg and horns stand out more because they are the main part of the picture. I had fun with this piece because once again, it was more of a fun project then the others that we have had.
Next, I have the butterfly pun. I used a stick of butter and put wings on it. This shows a butterfly because it doesn't literally mean that butter can fly, but its a pun. Out of all the puns I like this one the most because I found it the most clever idea and the most fun pictures to work with.

Gatorade Pun

I chose the Gatorade pun. It is represented by Gator- as in alligator. Also, I put a red cross on its back because of ade - aid as in saving people. I used my brain to think of clever ideas to make this piece more out of the box and thought I did a pretty good job. I chose a swamp as my background because thats where alligators live and it fit in the best. I had to warp the alligator as best as I could to make it fit better into the picture. This is probably one of my favorite projects that we have all done so far because we were able to have some fun with the art we produced.

15 Green Things

This project was very complicated and took a lot of creativity to produce. We were given 15 green pictures, and had to incorporate each one into one full piece of artwork. At first, I had no idea what to do and was totally lost. After looking at each picture, the hands really inspired me to go into the "love" kind of direction. I thought it was creative to use the handicap sign to form my letters.. L O V E. To make it more different, I painted the background picture that was green, to purple grass. It helps the picture pop, but also makes the hands stand out more because it is the center of the artwork. At last, Im very proud of this piece because I feel like I put a lot of effort into it and produced a beautiful product.

Crazy Combos!

This is the Crazy Combos project, where I combined different parts of animals to create one. I approached this by thinking of possible animals that would look good together in one. I came up with a zebra, horse, bird, kitten, giraffe, and snake. All of these animals inspired me to make the new creation of an animal.

Music Project

For these projects, we were told to do two projects but with different backgrounds. Also, besides different backgrounds, I used different colored notes and designs throughout my artwork. If I had to choose between the two, I like the top one better. I prefer the tie-dye background more than the graffiti, therefore the top one is more appealing to me. I had a lot of fun working on this project, because I am into music, and was able to bring it into digital imaging.

Colorful Flowers

To make these projects, I took a colorful picture of flowers and then used the History Brush Tool to edit it.
